Ronda Monroe, MS, NCC, cctp

Office Location: virtual and Atlanta

With a warm and collaborative approach, I aim to create a safe and judgmental-free space for client’s to develop the self-awareness and tools needed to make positive changes in their lives.

My work embraces adults who come from difficult childhood experiences and dysfunctional family relationships, and are now realizing how this impacts their present adult life. Because this can manifest as a range of challenges, my clinical focus includes depression, anxiety, trauma and stress, self-esteem issues, attachment injuries, grief, personality disorders, relationship and family challenges, and life transitions. My clinical specialties include Parental Hurt (mother/father wound), family dynamics, adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), innerchild work, and generational trauma.

I offer an integrative approach by pulling from various modalities (CBT, REBT, Family Systems) to meet your specific needs. I also incorporate holistic practices such as mindfulness, meditation, nervous system awareness and somatic yoga as a 200hr trauma-informed yoga instructor as movement is a powerful tool to heal and improve your mental health and overall well-being. I hold a bachelor's degree in Sociology from Georgia State University and a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mercer University. Prior to beginning my career in mental health, I worked as an educator with a decade of experience supporting students, families, and parents in education, family relationships, and mental health.

Within mental health, I’ve served in a community agency, private practice, and school district as an EAP counselor. I hold certification as a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP). As your therapist, I hope to walk beside you to encourage you, hold space for you, challenge you (we all need gentle accountability!), and to support you in cultivating a life you LOVE!

I see adult clients under the supervision of Matt Dooley, LPC., CPCS and direction of Meg McLeroy, LMFT.
