Once you start making the effort to “wake yourself up” – that is, be more mindful of your daily activities - you suddenly start appreciating your life more.

- Robert Biswas-Diener

I see therapy as a “waking up” of oneself. It’s a journey of becoming more aware of the struggles you are facing, their underlying causes, and ultimately of changing the behaviors and thought patterns that are keeping you from being the person you want to be.

As a therapist, I work to create a safe, non-judgmental environment in which my clients can heal and grow. My approach to psychotherapy is collaborative, viewing my client as an expert in their own life and as a partner in the therapeutic process. I enjoy working with individuals of all gender identifications, sexual preferences, and relationship structures.

I work with individuals and couples across the lifespan who present with the following concerns: relationship distress and attachment issues, substance abuse, women’s issues, gender affirming care (LGBTQ+), anxiety and depression, and self-awareness and personal growth.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and have been in practice since 2008. I earned my Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Georgia and have provided therapeutic services in a variety of treatment settings, including inpatient psychiatry/detox, residential substance abuse, and in private practice.  I have advanced training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), which helps clients become aware of and change negative emotional patterns in their relationships. I see clients via telehealth Monday through Friday and offer in-person session on Wednesday mornings and on Fridays.
