Using evidence based practices and interventions, MPA clinicians treat mood and thought disorders, anxiety, depression, OCD, relationship issues, eating disorders, PTSD and trauma, all types of life transitions, grief and loss, personality disorders and substance use disorders.

couples' and family therapy
Systemically trained therapists are able to help couples and families improve communication, understand dysfunctional patterns of interaction, identify roles and clarify values.

child and adolescent therapy
Specialized services are available for ages 6 - 17 years, for treatment of anxiety, depression, eating disorders, behavioral challenges and more. Therapists who work with children, adolescents and teens utilize experiential modalities including art therapy, play therapy, and integrative family therapy.
psychological assessments
Psychologists at MPA offer a wide variety of comprehensive psychological evaluations to assist with diagnosis, treatment planning, and academic accommodations. Psychological assessment consists of professionally developed and validated measures of personality, coping styles, symptoms, and cognitive abilities. The process includes a clinical interview and a feedback session. The report includes a summary of patient history, current functioning, and detailed recommendations. With a release of information, reports are made available to other treatment providers and/or schools. Costs vary and are determined by the extent of testing and time needed for administration, scoring, feedback, and report writing. A variety of assessments are offered at MPA:

DBT skills groups are an essential component of Dialectical Behavior Therapy. These groups consist of individuals who are learning and practicing skills to help them manage emotions, improve interpersonal relationships, and cope with distressing situations. The skills taught in DBT are divided into four modules:
Mindfulness: Being present without judgment
Distress Tolerance: Coping with crises without worsening them
Emotion Regulation: Identifying and managing intense emotions
Interpersonal Effectiveness: Improving communication and relationships

8:30 AM - 10:00 AMSometimes, to break out of our old cycles, to unlock the changes we wish to see, we have to practice new actions- to take a risk with others and be truly ourselves. That practice is what this group is about.
To create a safe space for men to explore themselves, experiment with boundaries and compassion, to understand their own emotions and history along with other members.
This is an open process group for men ages 25 and up. Group members will enjoy a safe space to connect, challenge, and support each other.
Group discussion topics may include: navigating relationships, friendships in adulthood, life stresses due to career challenges and life transitions, pressures of masculinity and gender roles, body image, self introspection, and more. PRICE : $90 per session with a 6 month commitment to the group.
