Counseling services for adult individuals and couples.
Hi, my name is Alex. I'm an Associate Professional Counselor (APC) and Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) in the State of Georgia. I hold Master of Education (MEd) and Education Specialist (EdS) degrees in Counselor Education, with a specialization in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, from Clemson University. I have been providing counseling services for five years, with post-graduate positions in outpatient psychiatry, hospitals, and private practice.
I provide therapy for adult individuals experiencing challenges related to a broad range of concerns, such as grief and loss, mood disorders, anxiety, post-traumatic stress, relational challenges, and life transitions. I also provide counseling services for couples experiencing challenges related to grief and loss, feelings of disconnection, and life transitions.
Grounded in person-centered philosophy, I draw from cognitive behavioral, family systems, and psychodynamic therapies. My goal is to offer a secure, healing space where you can freely express yourself and find support in navigating challenging life circumstances. Understanding that these challenges can be intricate, I utilize a holistic approach. My emphasis is on collaborating with you to identify patterns, utilizing a strengths-based, relational approach to support your healing.
I see adult individuals and couples under the clinical supervision of Margo Rice, PhD, LPC, NCC, ACP, and the clinical direction of Meg McLeroy, LMFT.
