As a therapist, I enjoy working with women, men, older adolescents, couples and groups. I work with clients on a wide range of topics, and I am passionate about working with individuals who are experiencing concerns related to depression, anxiety, substance use, trauma, and life transitions including adjustments to college. I recognize it can be difficult to take the first step in the therapy process, and I strive to work collaboratively with my clients to cultivate a strong therapeutic relationship and a safe space in which to work together. I am an LGBTQ+ affirming therapist who values the authenticity of every individual.
I received my Masters of Social Work with a concentration in clinical practice from the University of Georgia. Though my therapeutic approach is tailored to each individual, it is primarily strengths-based and grounded in cognitive behavioral and family systems theories. I receive supervision from Dr. Amy Smith-Barnes. Please feel free to call for a phone consultation and I look forward to answering any questions you may have.
