Josephine Almanzar, Psy. D.
Now is the time to take up space. In life, it may take immense courage to embrace our authentic self and take up the space we deserve. Here, I welcome you to be all of who you are, while helping you explore all that you can be. You may be wondering if you are capable of taking this step and the answer is YES! It may take you out of your comfort zone, but you are not alone once you step outside of it. Sometimes we need additional support to reach our potential and navigate change, and it is my honor to be a helping hand in your life.
I pride myself in taking a strengths-based approach to healing; I believe that we all have undiscovered strengths that can be useful during challenging times. My theoretical orientation is Interpersonal, which is an integrative framework to help you explore your life through the perspective of connection, thoughts, and emotions. I offer individual psychotherapy services for teens and adults. I have experience addressing grief, depression, anxiety, self-esteem, identity development, and relationships. I also offer learning disorder, ADHD, personality and psychopathology testing. I work under the supervision of Dr. Amy Smith-Barnes. I welcome you to contact me if you have any questions.
